When their first chicken sando hit their menu, it became an instant hit and eventually become the most popular menu item.
In 2019, while starting to make plans for another restaurant, the growing team began to speak about the recent fried chicken sandwich explosion and started to wonder, what would a restaurant concept consisting of their most popular fried chicken creations look like?
This simple question brought us to present day and the beginning of a new chapter. The Rub Chicken & Beer opened in January 2020 as a restaurant pop-up within Hen Quarter in Old Town. It’s a new kind of experience, one where you can enjoy a fine-casual restaurant downstairs at The Rub and a full-service restaurant and brunch experience during the evenings and weekends upstairs at Hen Quarter.
